Dr Guirey qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2013. She has worked multiple hospital specialties since qualifying and in General Practice in Sheffield for the past 6 years, she is well established at Oakhill Medical Practice. Dr Guirey teaches medical students in General Practice modules at Sheffield University.
Since qualifying Dr Guirey has developed a special interest in minor surgical procedures following several roles in surgical and A&E posts. She performs shoulder and knee joint injections in her role as a GP. She also has an interest in women’s health: providing contraceptive and Hormone Replacement Therapy services and is responsible for fitting and changing all ring pessaries at her practice. Dr Guirey is also experienced in neonatal and maternal post-natal examinations.
