Our fixed price treatment package includes:

• A comprehensive diagnostic assessment with a Vascular Scientist (Member of the British Society of Vascular Science) in accordance with the gold standard recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (“NICE”).
• An inclusive treatment package provided by our hand selected team of eminent and internationally renowned Vascular Consultants, using radiofrequency technology to reduce treatment discomfort and minimise the risk of post-treatment complications.
• Our dedicated aftercare team, much appreciated by patients, will ensure we’re here to help as you progress through your post-treatment recovery.
• We call this the smart choice for healthy veins.

The vast majority (around 75%) of our patients with visible varicose veins will require endothermal ablation for which we use a radiofrequency technology. Our comprehensive package includes the entire clinical pathway from diagnostic assessment, treatment with our vascular consultants through to the exceptional aftercare support, much valued by our patients. This will treat the condition of venous incompetence or vein disease which is the underlying cause of the varicose veins.

Our pricing is kept as simple as possible with a price for 1 leg (unilateral) £2,635 or 2 legs (bilateral) £3,435.

Vein treatment with foam or micro sclerotherapy only

Following a detailed assessment of your veins, our vascular experts will confirm whether the veins needing treatment are reticular veins or thread veins. Depending on the type of veins, you’ll either be recommended foam sclerotherapy or microsclerotherapy treatment.

For most of our patients, a minimum of 3 treatments are required to effectively remove thread veins on the legs. That’s why our packages are designed to give you the best outcomes – always delivered by an expert doctor.

Individual treatment add-on prices

Vascular scientist led vein mapping

The ability to deliver world-class outcomes for our patients is directly correlated to the quality of diagnostic assessment provided. It’s for this reason that our care pathway follows the gold standard guidance provided by NICE, The Society for Clinical Vascular Science and the European Society of Vascular Science.

We exclusively use specialist Vascular Scientists, accredited by the College and Society of Clinical Vascular Science, to perform your vein mapping. Using the latest Doppler ultrasound technology, they identify the exact source of your vein disease with accuracy and expertise. This detailed mapping is the cornerstone of effective treatment, ensuring the outstanding results our patients have come to expect.

Whilst some providers might offer low-cost scans as a marketing tool, we never compromise on quality. Scans conducted by clinicians without specialist vascular training can introduce unnecessary risks to your treatment outcome. Radiofrequency technology

Around 75% of patients with varicose veins require treatment for their truncal veins, which lie deeper within the venous system. At UK Vein Clinic, we use state-of-the-art radiofrequency ablation (RFA) technology to treat these veins. Clinically proven to minimise discomfort and reduce the risk of complications, RFA ensures you receive the safest and most comfortable care available.

Although RFA is a more expensive technology, we believe our patients deserve nothing less than the best. That’s why it’s the only method we use for deeper vein treatments.

This same technology is widely regarded as the gold standard for endothermal venous ablation, used by the NHS in over 7,500 procedures each year. RFA’s advanced heat delivery system eliminates the risks of “user error” associated with other techniques, such as laser-based treatments, ensuring greater precision and consistently excellent outcomes.

However, we believe you shouldn’t have to worry about this possibility. That’s why our RFA treatment package comes with a guarantee: if the veins we treat with RFA do not successfully close, we’ll retreat those veins at no additional cost for up to a year following your initial procedure.

Can I apply on behalf of a friend or relative?

The patient can ask a friend or relative to apply on their behalf. It is important that the applicant's details are entered accurately. Is this covered by my private medical insurance?

Can I get the treatment on the NHS?

Most varicose vein removal treatments in the UK are not covered by the NHS. Varicose veins may be covered if they are severe enough to cause discomfort. However, this is usually not the case, and in these less severe cases the treatment will not be covered by the NHS.

Why do you use radiofrequency ablation to treat varicose veins?

Although more expensive, radiofrequency ablation has been found to reduce discomfort associated with treatment and to reduce the risk of post treatment complications. Heat is required to ablate varicose veins and RFA is the most accurate delivery system on the market. This means there’s a reduced chance of scarring or bruising, leaving you with better, lasting results.
